Using Linked Data in Ornithology

One scientific application field of the Linked Data Finland service has been ornithology, where e.g. observation data of citizen scientists has been enriched with additional linked data, such as weather data, to study its effect on migration:

Bird ontologies and additional linked data information sources have also been used to support data collecting and enhance data quality in citizen science in the mobile BirdWatch system.
