Data Curation
Linked Data Finland
Data curation refers to activities and processes done to create, manage, maintain, and validate data. Within the Linked Data Finland work, several services for data curation are being developed.
Data Annotation Services
Various tools based on language technology have been created and packaged for analysing textual data and creating semantic annotations (semi-)automatically from them.
- SeCo Lexical Analysis Services can be used for language recognition, lemmatization, and morhological analysis.
- ARPA annotation engine can be used for extracting Linked Data from unstructured texts.
SPARQL Editor Service
LDF.fi datasets can be edited interactively by using the SAHA annotation editor built on top of SPARQL services. The URL pattern for accessing a resource for editing it is
http://SERVICE/editor?uri=URI
where SERVICE=ldf.fi/DATASET. For example:
http://ldf.fi/finlex/editor?uri=http://ldf.fi/finlex/laki/p35
Using the editor service for a dataset requires a special permission from LDF.fi team.
Data Linking Service
The SILK framework is being used for linking data.
